about me

My name is Emily Jensen. I am a social worker with a master’s degree in healthcare counselling and a licensed healthcare counselor.

My area of expertise is domestic violence and abuse. For many years, I have worked at shelters for victims of abuse, supporting people who need assistance and protection after experiencing violence in a relationship. I have provided support both individually and in group settings for people who want to leave or have left an abusive relationship.

I began my career in social services. There, I met people in difficult social and economic situations and helped them on their path to self-sufficiency through contacts with government agencies and community organizations. Through this, I have developed a good understanding of these systems and I am able to navigate them effectively.

I have extensive experience working with people suffering from various psychiatric diagnoses, particularly PTSD, neuropsychiatric disorders, and eating disorders.
